Coaches Certification Information
BHC - Coach & Manager Policy
All coaches must meet the following requirements established by USA Hockey and Minnesota Hockey.

A background check form must be completed and submitted every year.
- A current and valid Coaches Education Certification Card must be on file with the BHC Registrar.
Coaches and Managers should pick up a hard copy form from the Registrar’s mailbox at the Burnsville Ice Center. In either case the completed form must be returned to the Registrar as soon as possible by placing it in the Registrar’s mailbox or mailing it to:

Coach CEP certification requirements by level are as follows:

Level 1 = Initiation, Level 2 = Associate, Level 3 = Intermediate
Your card must have been issued in 2005-06 or later to be valid. If it was issued in 2004-05 or prior you must attend a coaching clinic to refresh. Level 4 cards never expire. The BHC will reimburse you for the cost of the clinics. Coaching clinics can be found by going to the USAhockey website and clicking on the coach button. Level 3 coaches can re-certify online at USAhockey using the Flexxcoach option.
